How do Japanese online courses work?
Our courses have a duration of 10 weeks, with a 105-minute weekly live lesson. We follow a structured methodology in which, for each live lesson, our native Japanese teachers introduce students to a new topic and grammar, which students will then have the chance to master by practicing throughout the lesson.
Do I need to know any Japanese to join a course?
Not at all. Our Beginner 1 course is suitable for people who have never studied Japanese before or for those who are just getting started. Moreover, students get free access to our pre-recorded video lessons, which allow them to start learning the basics before the course starts.
How do I know what course is better for me?
If you have never studied Japanese, our Beginner 1 course is the right place to get started. If you have learned Japanese in the past, take our placement questionnaire or check our course curriculum to determine the level most suitable for you.
What can I expect upon enrolling in a course?
Once you have secured your seat in the course by completing your payment, within 24 hours, we will send you an enrollment confirmation email along with access to our Japanese video courses and vocabulary flashcards. Also, we will send you an invitation via Google Calendar to join the weekly live lessons via Zoom.
Will I learn with a native Japanese teacher?
Yes! All our Japanese teachers are native and fully certified as professional Japanese teachers. This sets us apart from other learning websites where teachers may be native but have not received official training for teaching the language.
How many hours a week do students need to dedicate to the course?
In addition to our 105-minute weekly live lessons, we recommend students dedicate at least an extra 90 minutes a week to study on their own. We provide you as a student with vocabulary flashcards and video lessons to review what you learned during the live lessons.
What is the cost of your Japanese online courses?
Our Japanese online courses cost USD$249 or CAD$329 or AUD$359. For students who enroll during our Early-bird period, the courses cost is reduced to just USD$229 or CAD$299 or AUD$329. These prices are tax-inclusive.
Are there any additional costs, such as for books and other materials?
Not at all. We provide students with exclusive Japanese learning material created by our native Japanese teachers. As a student, you don't need to purchase any books nor pay for the materials we provide you with.
Is there an age requirement to join a course?
Our Japanese online courses are developed for learners who are 14 years old or older. For younger learners, we recommend exploring alternative learning options specifically designed for that age group.
What if I am not satisfied with a course?
After your first live lesson, if you are not satisfied with the quality of our course, we give you a full refund minus a USD$39 or CAD$49 or AUD$59 administrative fee, provided you let us know why you are not satisfied.
