We are on a mission to help thousands of people to learn Japanese. Since 2020 we have been working tirelessly to create the ideal and most effective learning environment.
2020 April
Japademy is born
During the COVID-19 lockdown and after losing her employment as a Japanese teacher, Kanami-sensei started giving online lessons as a way to continue working on her passion.
2021 January
Original learning material
After recognizing the challenges and frustrations faced by our students with conventional Japanese learning materials and apps, we started creating our in-house material to provide a more engaging and effective learning experience.
2021 May
An experienced team formed
To keep up with the rising number of students joining our Japanese private lessons, Yuuka-sensei, Akana-sensei, and Haruka-sensei joined our team giving us 15 years of teaching experience.
2021 September
Launched online video courses
To fulfil our goal to help thousands of people to learn Japanese, we launched our video courses. These cover the very same topics as in our private lessons; however offer the possibility to learn 24/7 and at a fractional cost of live tutor lessons.
2023 March
Launched 10-week online courses
For the first time we started offering Japanese language lessons in a group environment. With a 10-week course format following a learning pathway from beginner to intermediate levels, our courses allow students to learn Japanese faster and more effectively.
