Japanese culture is highly appreciated by millions of people worldwide. And while most students find motivation to learn Japanese in watching Anime or thinking about their next holiday trip to Tokyo or Kyoto, Matthew-san helps himself to stay motivated by buying really cool Japanese-themed sneakers for every year his continues learning the language - pretty cool! -.

Tomoko-san joined joined Japademy at the end of 2021, becoming our first teacher located in Europe! She is highly appreciated by our students who enjoy her keenness to getting to know about their own cultures too. Her suggestion for students who want to learn Japanese quickly is to make native friends with whom you can practice what you learn and pick up new expressions and slangs.

Akane-san joined Japademy in early 2021 after teaching Japanese at local language schools in Osaka as well as online. Her focus is about making students have fun and stay motivated during their learning process. Learn about her experiences and recommendations when learning Japanese.

Natalie has shared with us a story that gives us great motivation to continue helping hundreds of people to continue learning Japanese. In 2018 she travelled to Japan for holidays and after joining one of our Japanese Trial Lesson, she decided to commit herself to learning the language without knowing that her decision was going to give her the opportunity to live and work in Japan!

As with many other Japanese learners that come to Japademy, Michael-san had tried learning the language by himself in the past without making a significant progress. Nevertheless, he decided to start learning with us and now he feels impressed about how much he has been able to accomplish.

Leon-san is probably one of the nicest students we have ever had at Japademy. His passion for Japanese culture makes him continuously motivated to learn week after week. Besides that, Leon's passion for the Japanese underground car scene goes to the point that his own car has been painted with anime characters! Surely his does call people's attention on Australian roads.

Discover about Jon's experiences as a Japanese language learner. While most people get interested in learning the language for travelling, working or anime purposes, Jon got captivated by the design and aesthetic principles of Japan. To be able to deepen his understanding of the culture, he became a Japademy student in 2020.

Jeff joined Japademy's Japanese Online Private Lessons in May 2022. Despite being initially hesitant about how difficult learning the language could be, he managed to excel during his lessons and as a way to keep himself motivated, he started a YouTube channel sharing his progress and experiences learning Japanese.

Having started studying at Japademy since August 2021, Ian has completed over 12 months learning Japanese. Despite his initial challenges to find a suitable teacher for his busy schedule, his motivation to visit Japan encouraged him to go ahead and master the language. Today, Ian shares with us his story learning Japanese.

There are lots of interesting things to know about Yumiko-san. She is arguably the funniest teacher at Japademy, and admitted the favorite thing about herself is that she is always laughing. Besides that, her childhood dream was to be an Olympic athlete and if she could have any job on the planet, she would choose to be a Brain Scientist. But what surprises us the most about her, is that she is the only Japanese person we have ever know about who dislikes nattoo!

Studying Japanese takes a lot of courage. After all, learning not only the grammar but as much as 3 different writing systems is quite the task. Despite students being initially nervous when taking a Japanese course, our sensei Yuuka-san has found that by encouraging learners to speak a lot of Japanese early during their studies will translate into gaining sufficient confidence about what they are capable of during the course.
